The environmentally friendly alternative: our lower body warming blanket in a CO₂ check
The environmental study conducted by Green Zero is based on the ISO 14067 standard and examines greenhouse gas emissions as well as further environmental impacts of reusable MOECK WARMING SYSTEM® blankets in comparison with conventional disposable blankets. Using a cradle‑to‑grave approach, differences across the entire product life cycle are analysed in order to reduce environmental impacts and promote sustainability.
The assessment using the ReCiPe 2016 method (version 1.08) analyses eight environmental impact categories with a particular focus on global warming potential (GWP). Based on a functional unit of 200 uses, the reusable MOECK WARMING SYSTEM® blanket demonstrates a significantly lower GWP than conventional disposable blankets. The results show that the GWP of the reusable blanket is at least 3.9 times lower than that of disposable alternatives and that, when compared with 53 disposable blankets, it offers a clear advantage in terms of climate impact.
The present report has undergone a critical review by an independent external expert in order to validate the methodology and the results. This ensures the robustness and credibility of the findings.
